Condominium Mortgage Insurance
Condominium Mortgage Insurance enables families to purchase units in condominium projects. The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) offers mortgage insurance for lenders and does not provide direct loans of financial assistance to help individuals buy homes.

Flood Insurance Program
The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) makes Federally-backed flood insurance available in NFIP-participating communities that agree to adopt and enforce floodplain management ordinances to reduce future flood damage. Federal flood insurance is available in more than 19,000 communities across the United States and its territories.

Graduated Payment Mortgage Program
Facilitate early home ownership for households that expect their incomes to rise. This program allows homeowners to make smaller monthly payments initially and to increase their size gradually over time.

Growing Equity Mortgages
Provide a rapid, reduced principal and shorter mortgage term by increasing payments over a 10-year period, thereby expanding housing opportunities to the home buying public.

Homes for Low & Moderate Income Families
Makes homeownership more readily available to families displaced by a natural disaster, urban renewal, or other government actions and increases homeownership opportunities for low-income and moderate-income families.

Homes in Outlying Areas
Mortgage Insurance for Homes in Outlying Areas helps current or prospective home owners purchase homes in outlying or remote areas. Mortgage Insurance insures loans to potential homeowners by insuring lenders against loss on mortgage loans.

Housing in Older, Declining Areas
Assist in the purchasing or rehabilitating of housing in older, declining urban areas.

HUD Housing Counseling
HUD sponsors certain approved housing counseling agencies that in turn provide counseling services to citizens for free.
